The Tools team at Ultraleap are responsible for developing tools and integrations that make it easy for our customers and partners to effectively use our haptics technology independently of our engineering teams.
As a team we are always trying to improve, drawing on the values and principles of Agile, frameworks like Scrum, and related methodologies such as example-driven development.
– Collaboratively design, implement, test, and deliver software that meets end-user needs;
– Produce and maintain software supporting a variety of platforms, such as Microsoft Windows, macOS, and GNU/Linux on ARM;
– Learn new technologies, such as languages, libraries, and frameworks;
– Actively participate in the team self-improvement
Dependant on experience and the needs of the business, the role offers a future opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities.
Our work can be varied, so the most significant trait of our team members is a willingness to work with a variety of technologies and languages, as well as the ability to learn new ones as the need arises. Our most significant products have been a desktop application built with C++/Qt, and a C# game engine integration. We have recently started working on an integration with web technologies.
You will need prior experience as a professional software engineer (or similar) and to be proficient in at least one mainstream programming language. .NET / C# or modern C++ are especially desirable.
Ultraleap was formed when Ultrahaptics and Leap Motion came together in May 2019. We’ve brought together the world’s most powerful 3D hand tracking with the only haptic technology able to create the sensation of touch in mid-air. Applications include automotive, digital out-of-home, location-based entertainment, AR/VR, gaming, computing, consumer electronics, and health. We have a team of over 150 spread across the world, with locations in Silicon Valley and Bristol, UK.
